Lawn Mowing on Cape Cod Massachusetts

Many property owners want a beautiful looking lawn but they don’t understand the importance of proper lawn mowing and often neglect the essential task leading to an unsightly lawn.

All lawns need to be mowed at the right height and time to keep the lawn looking its best and this helps to establish a lush beautiful lawn that resists insects, diseases and unsightly weeds.

When lawns are not mowed at the proper height and times this often removes too much grass at one given lawn mowing and this leads to an unhealthy lawn that looks burned, spotty and thin yellowish grass blades.

A professional lawn mowing is more than just mowing the lawn. If you want to have the best looking lawn on the block you have to mow your grass like a professional.

To start professional lawn mowers cut the grass in the right direction and at the proper height while keeping the blades nice and sharp, sting trimming (weed whacking) the edging, and cleaning up with a air power blower.

When any lawn care company is cutting the lawn it is important for them to cut the grass in both directions and should always be alternating from dark and light for each pass they take with the lawn mower, this helps to prevent the grass from matting which will turn the grass yellowish.

Anytime that the grass has a chance to grow a significant amount since the previous lawn mowing there should be a double lawn mowing even if it’s being mowed regularly, high growth in between lawn mowing's can be from fertilizing, heavy rains and excessive watering of the lawn.

It is important to keep the lawn mowing blades sharp at all times and many people can over look this simple process to re-sharpen the blades; as these dull blades will rip and tear the grass right out of the soil instead of cutting the grass.

Once the lawn mowing is completed it is time for the String trimming (weed whacking) to be completed, The string trimmer should be held level and cutting at the height of the lawn mower cutting height to prevent the lawn from scalping that will turn the edges of the lawn brown.

The last step to a lawn mowing is cleaning up the area and the easiest and most effective way to do this is to use an air powered blower to clean up the grass clippings.
